Bird Walk @ Kinderhook Creek Preserve! - a Rensselaer Land Trust preserve @ 7:30am
Join us as our ASCR bird walk leaders explore the Rensselaer Land Trust’s Kinderhook Creek Nature Preserve in Stephentown, NY for spring migrants on this joint trip! This joint trip in Rensselaer County continues to enhance the relationships ASCR has across counties and across river!

Meeting time: Walk starts at 7:30am


Directions to location:

***In your GPS or Google Maps, enter: 300 Martha Hicks Road, East Nassau, NY, 12062

From Albany:

Take I-90 East to exit 8, Defreestville.  Continue straight on RT 43 for approximately 10 miles to Sand Lake. In Sand Lake, RT 43 merges together with RT 66 and makes a 90 degree turn to the right. This intersection has a light, a Cumberland Farms on the left, a garden store on the right and County Route 42 straight ahead. Go right and continue on RT 43/66. After passing Glass Lake and the CRooked Lake House on your right, Route 66 splits off to the right. Continue onto Route 66 towards Nassau, NY.  Take a right onto Tsatsawassa Lake Road (located  before  you reach the Post Office of East Nassau) and drive for approximately ½ mile. Take a left onto Martha Hicks Road and the Kinderhook Creek Nature Preserve will be on your left in approximately 2/10ths of a mile.

From Troy:

Take RT 66/Pawling Avenue South to Sand Lake.  You will go through Wynantskill on the way. In Sand Lake, RT 66 merges together with RT 43, which comes in from the right. This intersection has a light, a Cumberland Farms on the right, a garden store on the right and County Route 42 on the left. Continue on RT 66 towards Nassau, NY.  Take a right onto Tsatsawassa Lake Road (located  before  you reach the Post Office of East Nassau) and drive for approximately ½ mile. Take a left onto Martha Hicks Road and the Kinderhook Creek Nature Preserve will be on your left in approximately 2/10ths of a mile.
