Come join the Audubon Society of the Capital Region for their Annual Meeting and Open House event at the Five Rivers Environmental Education Vistor Center! This family friendly and open to the public event will start at 1pm with announcements and the election of officers, followed by the main presentation. Tom Lake, Hudson River Estuary naturalist and educator for the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and editor of theNYSDEC online weekly Hudson River Almanac, will present “Changing Ecology of the Hudson River Flyway.” The program will illustrate how the Hudson River Flyway has been a critical north-south conduit for migratory birds for at least12,000 years and how users of the flyway have adapted to the changing environment. After the presentation there will be a Bird and Nature Trivia Quiz open to all.

During the presentation there will be activities ranging from coloring bird images to Bird Bingo for younger folks.

Light food and beverage refreshments will be available and a number of Audubon exhibits will be displayed to share what your local Audubon chapter is doing in the Capital Region and how YOU can participate!
