Audubon Society of the Capital Region 2021 Board Position Openings
The Audubon Society of the Capital Region has 2021 Board Member openings for Vice President and Recording Secretary. We also are in need of Editor of our quartly newsletter. Below is the description of each position. These positions are very important for us to continue to conduct our organization's mission. If you have any questions regarding any of these positions, feel free to contact me. We will be conducting voting for the 2021 Board Members at our annual meeting on February 8 at 6:00 p.m. The zoom invitation for that meeting will be sent out later this month.

Again, you are invited to attend our January 11 meeting. You should have already received that invitation. If not, please contact me.


The Vice President shall assist the President to carry out his duties and, in the absence of the President, the Vice President shall direct and administer the affairs of the SOCIETY and shall supervise all phases of its activities, subject to instructions by the Board, and shall preside at meetings of members and of the Board.

The Recording Secretary shall keep a record of all proceedings of the SOCIETY and of the Board of Directors. He shall send notice of all meetings. He shall preserve the seal of the SOCIETY, if any, and affix it to all documents requiring the seal.

The Newsletter Editor assist in producing our quarterly newsletter. Working alongside board members, you help generate, edit and format content on a quarterly basis. This role is perfect for someone with experience using MS publisher who enjoys writing and being creative! If you’ve wanted a chance to volunteer but have limited time or may be shy, this role may be the way to go. Training will be provided.
