About Us
Welcome to the Audubon Society of the Capital Region. We are the local chapter of the National Audubon Society, dedicated to the protection, conservation and enjoyment of birds, wildlife and the environment in the Capital Region of New York State. Our mission is to conserve and restore natural ecosystems, focusing on birds, other wildlife, and their habitats for the benefit of humanity and the earth's biological diversity. We are dedicated to protecting nature and connecting with others using the combination of science, education, and the restoration of our local wildlife habitats.

Did you know that birding is one of the most popular outdoor activities in America? According to U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, there are currently 48 million birders in the United States alone! There are many ways you can get involved. You can:

Join us for a for one of our Programs
We host talks, walks and educational programing about birds throughout the year. Many of our programs are in conjunction with other local organizations with whom we partner to provide a multitude of nature opportunities. To join us on one of our programs simply subscribe to our email list or join our Facebook page to get the most up to date information.

Become a Member
