Your membership will help grow our chapter and supports the work we do, which is dedicated to the protection, conservation and enjoyment of birds, wildlife and the environment in New York State’s Capital Region. Specifically, your contribution helps support the following ASCR initiatives:

The Bald Eagle Nest Watch Program which provides valuable data to NYS on the presence of bald eagles in our community	Provide education at Farmers’ Markets and other outdoor events, spreading information about birds and the health of their habitats	Conduct Nest Box Workshops teaching young people to build a bird house that they take home
Construct and install PVC plastic “TangleTainers” near local fishing locations. These containers are provided to the fishing public to deposit used fishing line which helps prevent birds from getting entangled, which almost always results in severe injury or death	Lead bird walks at various locations throughout the Capital Region to promote birding and provide education	Produce and distribute an online quarterly newsletter called Wingbeats
