Itinerary:  Speaker- Hailey Mitchell is a graduate from SUNY Brockport with a B.S. in Environmental Science.  While in college she conducted research on the nest-site selection and nest survival of Savannah Sparrows and presented her findings at a couple conferences.   She is currently at Thunder Cape Bird Observatory in Ontario, Canada.

Following the presentation, we will hold our monthly meeting.

ASCR has a history of providing a presence at community events. Recently, volunteers have staffed tables at local farmers’ markets, plant sales, and environmental health and safety events. Of special note is the ASCR Annual Bird Seed Sale, which is a major fundraiser for the Society. The Sale and the ASCR Annual Meeting are two of the largest recurring events, but we are always looking for more ways to spread the word about birds.
